TRAINING DETAILS

In today’s highly digitalized world, a lack of awareness among educators regarding the importance of developing digital literacy skills for young people’s well-being, along with limited pedagogical resources, makes it challenging for schools to create a roadmap for proactively enhancing digital literacy and internet safety.

Young people, often referred to as “digital natives,” are assumed to be naturally in sync with the virtual world from birth. However, despite their familiarity with internet technologies and their rapid learning of digital tools compared to adults, they remain amateur users of information and communication technologies without proper guidance. This has led to a generation deeply immersed in cyberspace but not fully digitally literate.

Since students bring their digital lives and experiences into the classroom, it is our responsibility to integrate this new reality into education systems. The European Union’s 2021-2027 Digital Education Action Plan emphasizes that digital competencies should be a fundamental skill for all teachers and should be incorporated into all aspects of their professional development. This training aligns with the EU’s Digitalization Goals by equipping teachers with professional knowledge in Digital Literacy Skills through expert-led sessions.
