In our schools, teachers must enrich the learning environment and lesson content in a way that addresses individual differences, ensuring that students acquire lasting knowledge rather than relying on rote memorization. Research has shown that students who understand their learning styles and develop study habits accordingly achieve greater success. Additionally, studies have observed that classroom environments designed to accommodate different learning styles lead to increased student achievement.

For teachers responsible for shaping future generations, it is crucial to understand their students well, track their learning processes, and determine how they learn best. This enables teachers to enhance classroom activities and design differentiated learning environments that cater to every student. As a result, students will gain lasting knowledge and be encouraged to become knowledge producers.

Furthermore, teachers need to help students who disengage from lessons due to a mismatch in learning styles, as this will not only improve academic performance but also reduce negative behaviors in the classroom.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

Through this training program, participants will develop the following competencies:

  • Improve the quality of education for all students while creating an inclusive school ecosystem that supports groups traditionally excluded by current educational practices.
  • Develop teaching and learning styles within differentiated instruction to support teachers’ personal and professional development, leading to broader social transformation through education.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

During the course, participants will:

  • Learn strategies used in support/enrichment applications within differentiated education.
  • Develop enriched school strategies with educational methods and content suitable for all learning styles.
  • Design visual materials and notes for visual learners, verbal presentations and listening activities for auditory learners, hands-on activities and movement-based exercises for kinesthetic learners, and reading and writing-based activities for verbal learners.
  • Improve teachers’ professional knowledge and skills in differentiated teaching methods and techniques, equipping them with the necessary foundation to provide appropriate educational methods and content for each learning style.
  • Gain the ability to identify and track students’ learning styles, shaping instructional methods accordingly.
  • Use acquired knowledge and skills to implement effective strategies, helping students connect their efforts with their achievements and transform negative self-perceptions into positive ones.

Upon completion, participants will receive the Europass CV and Europass Mobility certificates outlining their learning outcomes, serving as a reference for their professional careers and officially recognize their learning achievements across Europe.

Day 1:

  • Introduction and Pre-Test
  • Fundamental principles and characteristics of differentiated instruction
  • Key features of differentiated classrooms
  • Identification of learning styles and supporting transitions between styles
  • The role of environment and parents in the development of learning styles

Day 2:

  • Activities designed to guide parents in understanding the philosophy of differentiated instruction
  • Attitudes toward students with special needs
  • Educational applications through support/enrichment methods
  • Teacher attitudes
  • Peer attitudes

Day 3:

  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Teachers’ strategies for classroom behavior management and fostering a positive classroom climate
  • Key factors in promoting social acceptance

Day 4:

  • Teaching a lesson using selected methods, strategies, techniques, and materials tailored to auditory and kinesthetic learners
  • Designing learning environments and lesson plans that align with different learning styles
  • Assessment stages in differentiated instruction

Day 5:

  • Activities designed to help students with special educational needs discover their interests and talents
  • Introduction to the Renzulli Learning System, an interactive online platform that personalizes learning experiences, enhances student engagement, and boosts academic performance
  • Final test
  • Online teacher/student surveys and analysis of results
  • Europass Certificate Ceremony.
