TRAINING DETAILS

The Digital Education Action Plan, a renewed European Union (EU) policy initiative, sets out a common vision for high-quality, inclusive, and accessible digital education across Europe. It aims to support Member States in adapting their education and training systems to the digital age, promoting cross-border collaborations. The action plan emphasizes the need for teachers and educators to foster digital literacy and combat disinformation through education and training. In this regard, our goal is to support our areas of development through cross-border collaborations across the EU.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

Through this training program, participants will develop the following competencies:

  • Gaining skills in developing next-generation digital content and integrating it into curricula.
  • Creating digital lesson content and developing tools to assess it.
  • Engaging in transnational training to exchange ideas with colleagues from different cultures and identify best practices and innovation-based approaches according to EU standards.
  • Improve foreign language communication skills.
  • Enhance personal and cultural development.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will:

  • Learn about next-generation digital platforms that they can integrate into their lessons as part of the digital transformation process.
  • Gain skills in creating, storing, and managing content on the Google Classroom platform.
  • Learn how to prepare assessment tools on digital platforms.
  • Develop presentation preparation skills using digital tools for classroom use.
  • Share their professional experiences and exchange knowledge with colleagues from different cultures.
  • Improve their language skills as the training will be conducted in English.
  • Become familiar with European Union culture.

Upon completion, participants will receive the Europass CV and Europass Mobility certificates outlining their learning outcomes, serving as a reference for their professional careers and officially recognize their learning achievements across Europe.

TRAINING ACTIVITY PROGRAM

Day 1:

  • Participants introduce their country and school through presentations.
  • Ice-breaking activities.
  • The role of digital transformation in education.
  • Pre-test.
  • Training: Introduction to Google Classroom, platform usage, and educational content overview.
  • Formation of mixed teacher groups.
  • Creating lesson plans using Google Calendar.

Day 2:

  • Workshop: Mixed groups analyze a Google Classroom setup.
  • Creating a virtual classroom with Google Classroom.
  • Assigning tasks in the virtual classroom.

Day 3:

  • Workshop: Using Google Drive in Google Classroom.
  • Preparing, organizing, and storing sample lesson content with Google Drive.
  • Workshop: Using Google Classroom for Ecological Literacy Training and content creation.

Day 4:

  • Workshop: Discussing environmental issues through Google Classroom.
  • Preparing and storing assignments addressing environmental issues.
  • Workshop: Developing assessment tools using Google Classroom.

Day 5:

  • Workshop: Exploring Google Jamboard and Google Slides.
  • Creating sample lesson content.
  • Workshop: Preparing presentations on environmental issues using Google Slides and delivering them.
  • Teachers create sample lesson plans in Google Classroom.
  • Final test, evaluation survey, and Europass Certificate Ceremony.
