TRAINING DETAILS
Equal access to educational opportunities is a fundamental right for all individuals in society. Students with special needs also have the right to develop their social and academic skills, continue their daily lives, and fully benefit from education. Ensuring that these individuals are educated in the same environment as their peers will be more effective in meeting their skill and learning needs and integrating them into society. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) emphasizes in its 4a target within the UN’s global goals that safe, inclusive, and effective learning environments should be provided for all by constructing and improving educational facilities that are accessible to children, individuals with disabilities, and gender-sensitive needs.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
Through this training program, participants will develop the following competencies:
- Supporting educational diversity by enabling teachers to work in a more inclusive environment with different teacher groups, thereby creating a culturally, linguistically, and pedagogically diverse learning atmosphere.
- Encouraging teachers to engage in international cooperation through the Erasmus program, fostering collaboration and exchange within the EU framework. - Exposing teachers to different cultures and lifestyles to increase their awareness. This will contribute to participants developing important values such as tolerance, empathy, and respect for diversity, helping them overcome potential mutual prejudices.
