Learning a language can be a challenging and time-consuming process for many people. Traditional methods are often filled with repetitive exercises and textbooks, which may lead students to feel dissatisfied with their learning progress. AI-powered language learning applications personalize this process, making it more effective and enjoyable.

Our organization is currently facing significant challenges in digital language learning, particularly in effectively integrating technology into foreign language classes. Although we have access to various digital tools, many of our teachers are not fully equipped with the necessary skills to use them in ways that engage and motivate students.

Additionally, there is a gap in digital literacy among students, leading to unequal access to resources and hindering their academic progress. Moreover, in this new era, educational institutions must keep pace with rapid technological advancements and innovative learning platforms.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

Through this training program, participants will develop the following competencies:

  • Provide teachers with valuable skills in developing next-generation digital content and integrating it into curricula.
  • Encourage international collaboration, enabling teachers to exchange ideas, explore best practices, and innovate their teaching methods.
  • Equip teachers to create digital course content, effectively measure its impact, and continuously enhance students’ learning experiences.
  • Help teachers create modern, dynamic, and engaging classroom environments that motivate students and improve their communication skills, making them more prepared for the digital age.
  • Enable teachers to participate in transnational education programs, discovering new approaches and best practices in AI-supported foreign language teaching.
  • Train teachers to use innovative AI-powered digital learning tools for foreign language acquisition, allowing them to create engaging learning environments and develop innovative content for their teaching programs.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

During the course, participants will:

  • Recognize and develop skills in using AI-supported language learning tools.
  • Learn how to integrate digital technologies into environmental education and incorporate sustainability topics into lessons.
  • Understand interdisciplinary approaches that combine different disciplines with environmental education.
  • Discover AI tools that contribute to personalized student learning experiences.
  • Learn innovative, student-centered methods that combine STEM education with environmental education.
  • Gain knowledge of using VR and AR technologies in environmental education.

Upon completion, participants will receive the Europass CV and Europass Mobility certificates outlining their learning outcomes, serving as a reference for their professional careers and officially recognize their learning achievements across Europe.

TRAINING ACTIVITY PROGRAM

Day 1:

  • The reflection of technology on education policies in EU countries and their digital transformation goals.
  • The use of AI tools in school curricula.
  • Introduction to EU institutions, EU values, and EU education policies.
  • Pre-test and introduction to training modules

Day 2:

  • Fundamentals of AI-supported language learning and ethical considerations.
  • AI-based language learning platforms (ChatGPT, Duolingo, Rosetta Stone AI, etc.).
  • Integration of AI tools into language lessons.
  • Creating AI-supported assignments tailored to students’ proficiency levels.
  • Assessing language skills using AI.
  • Game-based AI applications for language teaching

Day 3:

  • AI-supported speech and pronunciation improvement tools and their use in learning environments.
  • Integration of environmental education into different disciplines.
  • Environmental education through a multidisciplinary teaching approach.
  • Designing AI-supported lessons that address environmental issues.
  • Sample environmental education activities.
  • Example lesson plans that combine environmental education with different subjects.

Day 4:

  • Learning about environmental issues through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR).
  • Addressing environmental issues with AI technology through digital storytelling and brainstorming techniques.
  • STEM-based environmental activities applicable in lessons.
  • Project-based learning examples integrating STEM and environmental education

Day 5:

  • AI tools for individualized student learning.
  • Organizing AI-supported, student-centered activities.
  • Final test, online evaluation survey, and Certificate Ceremony
